Desde que deixaram Rosings, Coronel Fitzwilliam notou o péssimo humor de Darcy. Tentando descobrir a causa da irritabilidade de seu primo e após ameaçar embebedar Darcy, ele finalmente fica sabendo sobre a jovem que recusou a proposta de casamento de seu primo e que o tem deixado miserável. Depois desta conversa, Darcy resolve agir corretamente e se dirige para a casa de Bingley para lhe contar seu papel na separação entre ele e Jane Bennet. Esperando por mais problemas entre ele e seu amigo, Darcy se surpreende com um convite dele para voltar a Netherfield. Lá, Elizabeth Bennet não consegue tirar da cabeça os acontecimentos de Rosings. Agora, que ela já conhece a verdade sobre Wickham, se culpa por ter julgado Darcy tão severamente; mas ainda tem muitas dúvidas relacionadas a Jane e Bingley. Então, quando ambos aparecem em Netherfield, a moça não sabe como agir perto de Darcy. Não só ela, mas sua família toda se surpreende ainda mais com os novos modos de Darcy. Quando ele a convida para conhecer Georgiana, as duas se dão muito bem. E assim começa uma nova relação entre Darcy e Lizzie. A moça se mostra totalmente desconcertada com as atenções de Darcy para com ela, algo que ele próprio não consegue ou deseja controlar. Essa nova convivência trará uma nova chance de se conhecerem... Ou se desentenderem. 

Um livro ótimo. Adoro essas sequências sobre Darcy e Lizzie e o que poderia ter acontecido entre eles durante as partes “não narradas” de Orgulho e Preconceito. Abigail Reynolds é uma das poucas autoras desse tipo de literatura que consegue preencher essas “lacunas” com sucesso, fazendo o leitor querer cada vez mais. As cenas intimas entre os dois são puro desejo (o que faz uma janeite como eu querer estar no lugar de Lizzie :P). Não é o primeiro livro de Abigail que leio, mas é o que me consolida como uma grande fã sua. Indico esse livro a todas as janeites apaixonadas não só por Darcy e Lizzie, mas também por uma boa história de romance. 

Since they left Rosings, Colonel Fitzwilliam noticed the foul mood of Darcy. Trying to find the cause of his irritability and after threatening to drink his cousin under the table, he finally learns about the young woman who refused the marriage proposal of her cousin and that has left him miserable. After this conversation, Darcy decides to act correctly and heads home to Bingley to tell him his role in the separation between him and Jane Bennet. Awaiting more problems between him and his friend, Darcy is surprised by Bingley with an invitation to return to Netherfield. There, Elizabeth Bennet's head can not get the events of Rosings. Now that she knows the truth about Wickham, blames herself for judged Darcy so harshly, but still have many questions regarding Jane and Bingley. So when both appear at Netherfield, the girl does not know how to act around Darcy. Not only her, but her whole family is surprised with the new behavior of Darcy. When he invites her to meet Georgiana, the two get along well. And so begins a new relationship between Darcy and Lizzie. The girl shows up totally baffled by the attentions of Darcy for her, something he can not own or want to control. This new coexistence brings a new chancefor them to get to know each other…Or misunderstanding each other. 

A great book. I love these sequences about Darcy and Lizzie and what could have happened between them during "not told" parts of Pride and Prejudice. Abigail Reynolds is one of the few authors of this type of literature that can fill these "gaps" successfully, making the reader wanting more and more. The intimate scenes between the two are pure desire (what makes a Janeite like me wanting to be in Lizzie’s place :P). It is not Abigail’s first book I read, but it is what strengthens me as a big fan of hers. I recommend this book to all janeites in love not only for Darcy and Lizzie, but also for a good romance story
